FYI the guy who builds those MOSFET lives in Fort Collins so he is local. Great MOSFET, I have one and I can't say anything bad about it and it is known to be a solid build (you should never push its limits in an airsoft gun) by an expert. The only one I know failed was replaced for free. It fits in the space your fuse comes out of so I don't see how it would not fit though the extra wiers makes for a snug fit. The "gate" wire can be vary small wire and not effect the resistance thought the motor and batt. wires because it just tells the system to open the circuit. If your running lipo I would get the mosfet because if I understand correctly running a lipo dead pretty much wrecks the battery, could be wrong. Its also cool to know when your at 20% batt. if you don't have a LIPO just so you know its time to be very selective with your shots.

I actually have a CHEETA running in my AUG right now, for those of you that don't know about extreme-fire.com I highly recomend one of Terry's MOSFETS I used to have an sw-evolution in my jg AUG, when it shorted out on me he replaced it with a CHEETA for free. I highly recomend him if you are ever looking at getting a MOSFET. Payne, you are probably right about needing a mosfet, just to be safe. I will most likely sill keep a stick type 11.1 lipo in the stock pipe with a CHEETA in the handguard. As for those unmatching threads, I have a Madbull DRM on the way, i'll let you know how it works out.
Basically, these MOSFETS have 6 wires. 2 go to the battery, 2 go to th motor, and the last two are signal wires that go to the trigger switch. By having separate wires going to the trigger switch, you are able to send only a small amount of current to the trigger and solve the issue of electrical arching, this design also allows for less resistance between the battery and the motor, resulting in higher ROF. This is the manual for the CHEETA, there is a wiring diagram enclosed: http://extreme-fire.com/SW-CHEETAH-Manual-255.pdf
Project Update: I recieved the madbull DRM which work extremely well and modified the threads to perfection. I decided to go with a madbull ultimate hop-up unit, madbull 455mm tbb, and SCS spacer with a thunder bucking. More on the performance later. As for the other internals, i decided to go with an AIM TOP 8mm bearing reinforced complete gearbox which will be here sometime next week. to be paired with an AMP tactical High torque. As for the MOSFET issue, I decided that I will be installing a cheeta, originally I had hoped to put it in the handgaurd and then put the battery in the stock. However, after seeing how the wires would have to run through the gun I have determined that it isn't possible. So i will be putting both in the stock pipe, making my stock a 5 instead of 6 position, but saving my electronics. I have an olive drab MIAD grip on order but the company I ordered it from hasn't even processed the order after a week and a half. Picures: http://s955.photobucket.com/albums/ae39 ... gpul%20M4/ I will post more when the gun is complete.
So the gun i finally all put together and is unbelievably sturdy besides a little wobble in the stock. The Aim top 8mm reinforced gearbox looks great, and for just $110 dollars, i'm truly impressed. Just need to reshim it. I decided to have a mosfet custom built for the gun so that I can get built in lipo protection. The only problem is that it's so custom that it could be up to a month and a half until it's done. so until then I will be using my aug.
