Hi, fox airsoft is all out of mid-capacity mags that'll fit my mp5. its my first time playing at airsoft colorado... will it be ok if i use hi-capacity mags for this week, until fox airsoft resuplies their arsenal?

No. That used to be acceptable but then people started going without midcaps for weeks and weeks. You MUST have midcaps, or else you can't play. I suggest borrowing them from someone else, or buying them from evike.com. There are many websites where you can buy magazines, but if fox airsoft is out of stock, then that is the website I suggest. They have excellent customer service and great prices.

If you need mags for your first game, just post a request under the particular game that you will be attending. Someone usually has mags to loan out for the day, as long as you take good care of them.

Drum/box magazines are not allowed with rifle class weapons. Box/drum mags are only authorized for support weapon platforms, ie M60, M249, RPK, etc.

but getting bdu pants would look wierd unless you made it work because a bdu pant without a bdu top looks sort of silly unless your like on a really hot day

Go with what's cheap and easy to get; BDUs , DCUs, and ACUs are available at Good Will for dirt cheap ($6/piece), which means you should have no problem getting both a jacket and pants. No sense paying more than that to get some obscure camouflage pattern when you're just starting off.
E/ As a disclaimer, that's just my opinion and if you have the money and really want something different, go for it, just keep in mind it'll be 3-4 times as expensive.

At pickup games you can play in anything from a wifebeater and your favorite pair of gym shorts to your $50,000 Future Force Warrior mockup (So BDU pants and a T shirt would be fine, especially in the summer) whereas the more organized games (Skirmishes) have relatively tight uniform requirements, meaning you would need a full set (Matching jacket and pants, with a hat recommended) of your chosen uniform. There's not exactly a thread with the definitive differences between pickup games and skirmishes for new players (At least not that I could find), that may be something we need to add.

Aside from being grossly inaccurate, as someone who has never attended an ASCO game of any kind, you are wholly unqualified to make such a statement. Skirmishes are hosted on a regular (usually monthly) basis except in months where a National Op may be occurring.

If you are posting this because you were hurt by a lack of response to Static Discharge, Striker already made it very clear why none of the official hosts have responded to that post. Your re-posting of that game idea will not change that fact and only reinforces Striker's very accurate statement.

Now, if you have something constructive and on-topic to say, then feel free.
