You need to remove the screw at the bottom of the pistol grip for the gearbox to be able to slide out. A spring upgrade is a major task if you dont know what you are doing. I would recommend taking it to Fox Airsoft in parker and just pay them to do it, but if you really want to give it a try study ...

I would suggest that you just get it right the first time and go with Tokyo Marui. I can almost promise you that one day (if you catch the bug) you will upgrade to TM, CA, G&G, or KWA so you might as well go all in and get a high end rifle.

Did it fall out of the back area, by the hammer? When you put it together without that part does the safety on the back of the grip feel right, does the hammer function?
